First Impressions & Breaking the Ice
"A simple hello could lead to a million things. It all starts with a great first impression."
Making a Connection
Learning to speak with strangers confidently.
Meeting someone new can be nervous, but a good first impression goes a long way. The way you present yourself, including your body-language, lets people know that you are friendly and approachable.
To initiate a conversation, you can use an icebreaker. This is usually light small-talk about the weather, a shared interest, or your surroundings. Remember that different cultures have different social norms, so what is polite in one country might be too personal in another!
Once the conversation starts, keep it flowing by asking open-ended questions. These questions require more than a simple "yes" or "no" answer, giving the other person a chance to share their unique stories and ideas.
